Founded in 1824 Glenlivet, set in Speyside in the town of Ballindalloch, it is the oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet, producing single malt Scotch whisky. Whilst in Ballindalloch, why not visit it’s fairytale castle.

Founded by William Grant in 1887, Glenfiddich, in Gaelic meaning Valley of The Deer, was built by one stonemason, William Grant and his 9 children and to this day is still family run, producing its World’s Most Awarded Single Malt.

Glenmorangie Distillery
Dunrobin Castle
– This fairy tale castle with its spires and turrets is perched high on a terrace above beautifully manicured walled gardens, which lead you gently down to the shores of the Moray Firth. The castle located north of the villages of Golspie and Dornoch, is open to the public between 1 April and 31 October each year. Not to be missed are the amazing twice daily falconry displays available until 30 September each year.

– Take a wander around the streets of Dornoch, shop for souvenirs at The Jail Dornoch, partake of a wee dram and some lunch in the 13th Century Dornoch Castle Hotel and finally visit the impressive Dornoch Cathedral, where Madonna and Guy Ritchie tied the knot, originally built in the 13th Century, burnt to the ground during Clan feuds in 1570 and finally restored between 1835 and 1837.
